Salary: $62,445.82 – $70,226.59 pa. (pro-rata) + super (Schedule A, Salary Point 9)
Part-Time (25 hrs/wk) position
The City of Glenorchy is Tasmania’s fourth largest city and lies on the west bank of the Derwent River, north of Hobart. The municipality of Glenorchy extends from the New Town Rivulet in the south to the Black Snake Rivulet in the north, consisting of a gently undulating landscape, rising steeply in the west to a line of hills. The dominant physical features of Glenorchy are the Derwent River and Mount Wellington.
We are currently looking for a highly motivated and experienced Environment Engagement Officer to join our team.
To develop Council’s Environment Engagement Program
Council is looking for a suitable person to develop, coordinate and implement the Environment Section’s Environment Engagement Program:
- To develop a bushcare volunteer program and framework.
- To promote natural areas and environmental education campaigns through a range of marketing, communication and promotional activities.
Tertiary qualifications in Community Engagement, Environmental Science or equivalent coupled with at least two years’ experience delivering volunteer community participation programs within natural areas.
This position includes generous terms and conditions as outlined in the Glenorchy City Council Enterprise Agreement 2016, including 13% superannuation.
