The Program Facilitation Team Leader is Full-time Fixed-term role which plays a critical role in this mission by leading a team to facilitate adventure activities and programs to schools, churches, at-risk youth, people with a disability and a wide variety of community organisations, in partnership with the relevant Program Coordinators.

As the Program Facilitation Team Leader, your team comprises a small number of part-time staff and a large casual workforce. Your responsibilities will include recruitment, training, rostering, service delivery and all aspects of team and performance management.

Your team will be responsible for delivering high quality outdoor adventure activities and programs with a range of client groups including schools, churches, people with a disability and at-risk youth (in particular the Baptist Care SA Tumbelin program). You will ensure that all activities and program delivery comply with the relevant adventure activity standards.

The Program Facilitation Team Leader is a ‘hands on’ role which will include facilitating activity sessions yourself as well as coordinating your team. Building the capability and capacity of your team will be a key priority as we seek to expand our ministry into new areas. An internship program in partnership with Baptist Churches SA may be one strategy you employ to do that.

This position is based at Mylor Adventure Camp and the majority of the adventure activities will take place at Mylor, however you will also play an important role in growing our off-site journey-based expeditions and day programs.

We are seeking tertiary qualified applicants in the field of Outdoor Recreation, Education Human Movement or related field. You will also need to be nationally accredited in outdoor disciplines (e.g. canoeing, bush walking, mountain biking, high ropes facilitation/supervisor, swim instructing and water sports). In addition you must be a person who holds a passion to support and empower others to achieve.
