The Parks, Wildlife and Heritage Division is seeking an energetic and motivated person to operate under the direction of the Senior Ranger to assist in the implementation of approved nature conservation, visitor management and interpretive programs and tasks within the beautiful surrounds of Watarrka National Park.

The job provides the opportunity to use and expand your professional skills in helping to manage the diverse natural and cultural heritage, along with the significant tourism values and offers the opportunity to work with the park’s Aboriginal owners. You will be involved with managing walking trail networks such as the well-known Kings Canyon Rim Walk and the Giles Track.

The position is based at the Watarrka Ranger Station, Watarrka National Park. The successful applicant will be part of a tight-knit, small community working and living in a remote area. The enthusiastic team work to a roster with weekend work included; overnight bush trips may also be required.
