A fantastic opportunity is now available at El Questro Wilderness Park for experienced and enthusiastic applicants for the roles of Tour Guides. Experience the Kimberley in one of Australia’s most unique and untouched locations. Just over an hour’s drive west of Kununurra, WA, this property has something for everyone.

From first class Barramundi fishing, to remote waterfalls, thermal springs and endless gorges, this park will exceed all expectations for any adventurer, 4WD enthusiast or someone simply seeking new challenges and new experiences. With the Cockburn Ranges as a backdrop, El Questro offers an energetic and social working environment whilst providing the opportunity to explore our amazing backyard and experience the exceptional.

From April to October, El Questro’s three unique resorts, being Emma Gorge, The Station Township and The Homestead offer a diverse range of accommodation, dining and natural attractions to guests from all walks of life.

As a Tour Guide you are central to ensuring our guests experience the very highest levels of service and safety while on our tours. Tour Guides are an integral part of the properties daily operations from transfers in and out of Kununurra to Guided tours; ranging from bird watching, guided gorge walks, boat cruises, 4×4 tours and of course barramundi fishing tours.

The successful candidate for the role will possess:

  • Highly developed Guest Service Skills.
  • Strong Interest in Wildlife & Nature.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and autonomously.
  • Self-motivation.
  • Ability to work a part of a tight knit team.
  • Previous experience with Tour Guiding or within the tourism industry preferable.
  • Demonstrated competency in 4WDing or completion of a 4WD course.

Qualifications:

  • Senior First Aid.
  • Manual Driver’s License.
  • West Australian F Endorsement- Needs to be obtained prior to season commencing.
  • West Australian MR Licence – Needs to be obtained prior to season commencing.
  • West Australian Responsible Service of Alcohol.
  • Relevant qualification in either Guiding/Environmental/Education is an advantage.

This is a remote role, where you will be living and working at El Questro Wilderness Park for the duration of the season.
