Expressions of Interest

The Australian Government and the Queensland Government invite expressions of interest from suitably skilled people interested in serving as a board director of the Wet Tropics Management Authority.

The Wet Tropics has the oldest continuously surviving tropical rainforests on earth and is home to Australia’s largest diversity of animals and plants; many are found nowhere else in the world.

The Wet Tropics Management Authority is responsible for ensuring that Australia’s obligations under the World Heritage Convention for the protection and management of the Wet Tropics of Queensland World Heritage Area are met.  The Authority is established under the Wet Tropics World Heritage Protection and Management Act 2003.

The Authority is committed to an inclusive culture and encourages applications from people with diverse backgrounds irrespective of gender, disability, ethnicity, generation and sexual orientation.
