Adventure Intervention Support Officer to assist with the delivery of programs and training using Adventure Based Learning (ABL) methodologies.
We are seeking a person with the ability to:
- Contribute to the implementation of relevant actions identified in the Outlook Business Plan within established policies and procedures, as directed.
- Assist with the delivery of ABL programs for young offenders or those at risk of offending behaviour.
- Design, develop, and evaluate ABL programs linked to case management objectives.
- Assist with the delivery and assessment of training in ABL for Government and Non-government staff who work with young offenders or those at risk of offending behaviour.
- Participate in the development and review of training courses to a national training standard.
- Establish effective relationships with trainees and their agencies by providing on program support and by contributing to the development and maintenance of training plans.
- Manage risk in relation to staff and participants and comply with any legislation, industry standards, policies and procedures.
- Undertake administrative tasks relevant to program and training delivery in accordance with departmental policies and procedures and contribute to the good governance and objectives of the directorate and department.
It would be desirable for the applicant to possess a Certificate III in Outdoor Recreation and youth work experience.
