About the branch
The Commercial Directorate manages Parks Victoria’s visitor based, revenue-generating activities at key regional and metropolitan sites across Victoria. It provides the strategies, specialist advice, business processes and systems to efficiently and effectively deliver core support services to enable Parks Victoria to be financially sustainable, high performing, and ensure our activities are aligned with strategic objectives.
The directorate aims to deliver sustainable financial returns through the provision of an enhanced visitor experience across Victoria’s parks, to support conservation for the benefit of the Victorian community.
About the role and your responsibilities
As the Cave Guide Ranger, you will be responsible for providing a high-quality factual interpretation of the Buchan Caves, ensuring we continue to provide a high level of service to visitors. You will be a highly effective communicator with the ability to convey information in a professional and enjoyable manner to a variety of age ranges and individuals.
The Cave Guide Ranger will work as part of a team that is dedicated to the delivery of on-ground works that are aimed at protecting the natural and cultural values of the reserve. You will be a motivated individual with the flexibility to display a strong personal work ethic as well as the ability to actively contribute in a team environment, working to ensure the best possible park management services are being achieved at all times.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Experience in customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of grounds and general maintenance
- A current employee Working with Children Check before commencing employment with us
