Lauriston Girls’ School seeks to appoint an experienced and dynamic educational leader to the position of Director of Outdoor Program, Howqua Campus.

About the Howqua Campus

Founded in 1993 and located in the Victorian High Country, our Howqua campus is home to Lauriston girls for the duration of Year 9. Including approximately 30 teachers and general staff, along with outdoor facilitators, the immersive nature of the program truly embeds Lauriston’s values of relationships, courage, creativity, intellectual curiosity, and engagement in life.

About the role

The Director of Outdoor Program is accountable for the management and ongoing creative development of the Outdoor Program, in alignment with the Lauriston Girls’ School Howqua campus philosophy.

The Director of Outdoor Program plans, directs, coordinates outdoor educational experiences, in consultation with the Vice Principal – Howqua campus and Howqua management team and is involved in delivering the Outdoor Program. The role has a strong focus on Risk Management and operational safety.

Ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a Teaching Qualification in Outdoor Recreation
  • At least four years group leading experience at Cert IV level
  • Experience in leading best practice outdoor and life skills programs
  • Hold current VIT registration.
