Salary: $32.19-$34.83 p/hr (depending on qualifications and experience)

We are currently seeking a passionate and personable Outdoor Educator to be employed as Program Services Supervisor and to join us at our PCYC Leadership Development Centre, Capricorn Coast. If you have a keen interest in adventure-based and experience-based learning, then we want you!

We work in partnership with schools and community organisations to deliver leadership development programs using adventure-based and experiential learning to build personal and social capacity.

Your New Role

Reporting to the General Manager – Social Delivery & Volunteer Services, you will be responsible for designing & delivering mainstream services and apply increased levels of facilitation, logistics and support to program delivery. You will also be responsible for overseeing specific projects including managing timeframes, budgets design and consultation.  If this sounds like you, download our Position Description for more information.

About You

  • Recognised industry accreditation and experience across various adventure activity disciplines e.g., Cert IV in Outdoor Recreation, etc
  • Experience in outdoor education, with the ability to facilitate groups of a variety of ages, backgrounds and towards program goals. At least 300 field days of program experience or demonstrate equivalent
  • Understanding of adventure and recreation and their relationship to personal, group and leadership development
  • Effective communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build relationships with stakeholders
  • Advanced Rescue Capability with an ability to lead a small team response
  • Current Manual Drivers’ License and an ability to drive in a variety of terrain and off-road conditions
  • Hold a current First Aid and CPR certificate (or able to obtain at a wilderness level)
  • Ability to travel including overnight stays as required.
