About the branch
The Infrastructure and Information Technology Division is responsible for capital projects delivery, asset management, business operations and facilities including fleet management and information technology services through the operations, applications, and innovation, projects, and governance teams.
The Infrastructure Capital Projects Directorate delivers a range of projects and programs across the estate including the delivery of the Sports & Recreation Victoria and Victorian Government stimulus projects – a $43 million works program to improve sporting and recreation opportunities in our parks. The infrastructure includes, new netball/ cricket facilities, pavilions, playgrounds, running tracks and other supporting infrastructure. It includes projects such as upgrading running tracks at the Jells Park Precinct, and improvement works at both Corben Oval and Olinda Precinct.
About the role and your responsibilities
As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the coordination, scoping, development and the delivery of Sport and Recreation infrastructure upgrades in accordance with Parks Victoria’s P3M Project Management Framework. This includes strong governance and oversight in accordance with Parks Victoria’s key procedures, guidelines and policies.
You will manage the efficient implementation of multiple Sport and Recreation Infrastructure upgrade projects ranging up to $10.6M in value (individual) and spanning multiple years. You will be required to partner with stakeholders at all stages of the project lifecycle and provide technical advice to the organisation in relation to the delivery of Infrastructure Capital Projects.
Your role will have responsibility for smooth running of these relevant meetings by ensuring the quality of agendas, minutes and meeting reports including the distribution of these in a timely manner.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Experience in managing a variety of infrastructure programs and projects
- A tertiary qualification in engineering, architecture, project, or construction management or in a related field
- The ability to think creatively and provide innovative solutions
- A current employee Working with Children Check before commencing employment with us.
