About the role

As the Ranger (Field Services), you will support working in a team of staff to deliver high quality services in line with the District Action Plan, with support and under the direction of the Ranger Team Leader. You will work as a key member of the Southern Mallee Operations team in delivering on-ground services. You will be supporting work practices and ensuring compliance with relevant specifications such as Parks Victoria’s policies and procedures. You will demonstrate a strong personal work ethic for team members to follow and ensure that District employees maintain a high standard of personal accountability and compliance with the Code of Conduct.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Displays sound understanding of organisational purpose, directions and governance for managing the parks estate and applies these in day to day and longer term work.
  • Has a clear perception of own personality, including strengths, weaknesses, thoughts, beliefs, motivation, and emotions, and actively practices self-management of both performance and behaviour.
  • Willingly cooperates and works collaboratively towards solutions that generally benefit all involved parties and to accomplish organisational objectives.
  • Supports and promotes an environment that holds opportunities for all, regardless of race, gender, culture, and age.
