Description

Beyond Limits Outdoor Education (Beyond Limits) is a ministry of the Uniting Church in South Australia and provides activity programs for groups who stay at Adare, Nunyara and Tarooki campsites as well as other sites across South Australia.

An opportunity exists for a casual Activity Facilitator (multiple positions) to provide experiential learning activities in accordance with the Uniting Venues SA philosophy of creative learning and leadership development.

Reporting to the Program Manager; the Activity Facilitator’s tasks include:

  • demonstrate, by example, the provision of exceptional Christian hospitality
  • brief participants on activity requirements and expected learning outcomes
  • facilitate experiential learning appropriate to the age, skills and experience of the participants
  • conduct a debrief at the completion of each activity to reflect upon key outcomes.

The successful applicant will be required to have experience in leading youth groups and / or any formal tertiary or other qualifications in youth-work / outdoor leadership.  In addition, the successful applicant will have:

  • a passion for developing the potential of young people
  • the ability to lead groups of up to 15 participants
  • the ability and willingness to be flexible and solution focused.

Experience within the camp and / or outdoor leadership industry will be highly regarded.  Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills are a must in this role, as is your demonstrated commitment to a mainstream Christian denomination.
