The Australian Alps National Parks Program Manager provides ACT leadership for the delivery of the Australian Alps National Parks Cooperative Management Program within Namadgi National Park. The primary purpose of the role is to coordinate cross‑jurisdictional programs that protect the Australian Alps’ nationally significant natural, cultural and heritage values, while ensuring alignment with ACT Government priorities, Parks and Conservation Service operational objectives, and the Australian Alps Strategic Plan.

The role supports cooperative management across the ACT, NSW and Victoria by translating shared strategic priorities into practical, on‑ground outcomes in Namadgi National Park. This includes partnering with Traditional Custodians, volunteer and community groups, and government agencies to conserve ecosystems and cultural landscapes, support sustainable visitor and recreational experiences, and strengthen resilience to climate change, bushfire and other emerging pressures. The role ensures that ACT contributions to the Australian Alps Program are well‑coordinated, accountable and adaptable.

We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where people with diverse thoughts, lived experience, and perspectives can thrive and contribute their unique talents to the ACTPS and ACT community. We encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with disability, people with culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, veterans, younger and older workers, and people with diverse genders, sexes and sexualities to apply.
