Pymble Ladies’ College is a school of the Uniting Church in Australia for girls Kindergarten to Year 12 with boarding from Year 7. At Pymble, we foster a world-class educational environment with the importance of global citizenship and a worldwide perspective central to our strategic intent.

The role
Vision Valley is now recognised as one of the leading experiential learning campuses in Australia. We are seeking casual Outdoor Educators to join our existing passionate, knowledgeable and energetic team.
Vision Valley Outdoor Educators are integral to the delivery of exceptional Outdoor Education and experiential learning programs at Vision Valley and associated offsite locations.
Outdoor Educators are involved in delivering a high quality and engaging outdoor education program that encompasses our own K-12 continuum, a 4-week Residential Program, and external client programs. Learning modules take inspiration from authentic and real-world concepts and are embedded into residential life at Vision Valley, with a focus on connecting more deeply with self, others and the natural world. Learning will utilise flexible outdoor and indoor learning spaces, and our extensive adventure infrastructure.
The Vision Valley programs encompass a range of activities, programs and events with a fundamental focus on personal development, connections with peers, and the environment. Students build their resilience, develop their problem solving skills, and are challenged to be more collaborative with their peers.

You will demonstrate the following attributes and capabilities:
- Willingness to support the ethos and values of the College
- Certificate III in Outdoor Recreation Qualification, or an equivalent certificate
- First Aid Certificate/Wilderness First Aid or the willingness to obtain/update
- Proven experience and knowledge in Outdoor Education and best practice principals
- Demonstrated instructional experience/qualifications in areas such as canoeing, bushwalking, adventure-based learning, rock climbing, mountain biking, high ropes and abseiling desirable
- Be physically fit and healthy to model and promote a healthy lifestyle to students
- A working understanding of Risk Management and Work, Health and Safety in an outdoor environment
- Well-developed communication, time management and organisational skills
- Effective relationship management skills with external service providers, parents, local residents and other stakeholders
- A genuine desire and enjoyment working with students and young adults.
