About Parks Victoria

Parks Victoria is responsible for managing a diverse estate of more than 4 million hectares including 3,000 land and marine parks and reserves making up 18 per cent of Victoria’s landmass, 75 per cent of Victoria’s wetlands and 70 per cent of Victoria’s coastline. Victoria’s parks are home to more than 4,300 native plants and around 1,000 native animal species.

About the role

As the Eastern Maar Partnership Coordinator, your role facilitates collaborative planning, cultural land management, and stakeholder engagement to ensure Traditional Owner knowledge, values, and aspirations are embedded in the management of jointly managed parks consistent with the Managing Country Framework. You will support the implementation of Joint Management Plan, coordinates operational activities across the appointed parks, and fosters respectful relationships with Traditional Owners, government agencies, and community stakeholders.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating or supervising operational teams in a complex environment, preferably in public land or natural resource management.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in environmental management, conservation, or business management desirable.
  • Sound knowledge of cultural landscape operations, public land operations and related environmental, infrastructure and visitor service programs.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Traditional Owner Settlement Act 2010, Native Title Act 1993 (Cth) and whole of Victorian governments Self Determination commitments.
