About the role
As the Environmental Advisor, you will play a key role in ensuring Parks Victoria meets its environmental and statutory obligations through effective systems, processes, and expert advice. Working as part of the Asset Strategy and Planning team, you will contribute to the protection of Victoria’s natural assets and public health by embedding best-practice environmental management across all operations.
You will support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of frameworks that identify, manage, and monitor environmental risks across the organisation. This includes driving compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements, supporting operational teams to apply consistent environmental standards, and fostering a proactive culture of environmental stewardship.

We’re looking for someone with:
- Tertiary qualification in environmental science or related field is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering environment protection projects and/or programmes
- Demonstrated experience in provision of technical advice and support pertaining to practical application of environmental legislation, regulations, and Australian Standards.
- Experience in managing and investigating environmental and public health incidents; and liaising with and responding to regulators.
- Ability to assess environmental risks and develop mitigation strategies.
