What You’ll Do

We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Explorer Guide to deliver engaging and informative tours of our Melbourne and Cranbourne Gardens. In this role, you will share insights into the Gardens’ history and contemporary significance while ensuring a safe and enjoyable visitor experience. You’ll transport visitors safely around the Gardens, assisting with the boarding and departures. You will also contribute to the ongoing improvement of our programs by gathering visitor feedback and staying up to date on the Gardens through regular training and collaboration with horticulture and science staff.

What You’ll Bring

The ideal candidate will be able to work across both Melbourne and Cranbourne Gardens and have proven experience as a tour guide. You possess strong presentation skills and the ability to engage diverse audiences, including international visitors. Knowledge of plants, horticulture, or conservation is highly valued, along with a thorough understanding of best practices in customer service and accessibility needs. Excellent communication, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work independently are key. A Victorian Light Rigid Driver’s Licence and Commercial Passenger Vehicle Licence are essential, as are proficiency in computer skills and a commitment to continuous learning.
