About the role
The Information and Education Coordinator plays a key role in designing, delivering, and evaluating public-facing programs, that promote understanding, appreciation, and stewardship of park’s natural and cultural heritage. The position leads the development of interpretive content, educational resources and programs, and engagement strategies, including signs, displays and digital content that connect diverse audiences with Parks Victoria’s landscapes, values, and conservation priorities
The position provides subject matter expertise and coordination across regional and state-wide initiatives. It supports the integration of Traditional Owner knowledge, community input, and scientific research into interpretive and educational experiences, ensuring they are safe, accessible, inclusive, accurate, and impactful.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating, designing, delivering, and evaluating public-facing information, interpretation and education programs ideally in public land, conservation, natural resource management
- Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in environmental management, conservation, environmental or outdoor education or a related field
- Experience coordinating work programs or supporting contractors
- Knowledge of public land and conservation operations including maintenance, environmental works and visitor services
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in developing public information, engaging interpretation and education materials, and delivering face-to-face programs
