Looking for a permanent job as a pest management ranger?
As OO5 Ranger Pest Management, you will be actively involved in the planning and on ground delivery of weed and feral animal control projects, attend and participate in stakeholder meetings, and maintain productive relationships with park neighbours, Traditional Owners, NRM groups and other interested parties. You will also provide technical support and mentoring for Central Region staff.
Travel is a regular part of the role. The position usually undertakes field work on parks and forests across the central belt of Queensland. Central Region is very large and diverse – you may work in true desert and remote locations to coastal and urban environments.
To join our team, you will need a positive attitude and the ability to work as a member of a team – and occasionally alone. You must hold a manual driver’s licence. Certification to use agricultural chemicals and poisons, possession of a Queensland weapons licence and experience using geographic information systems (GIS applications) will be highly regarded.
