We are a Catholic Coeducational Secondary College with two campuses, set on approximately 20 hectares of beautiful gardens and
playing fields. MacKillop is a college in the Josephite tradition, inspired by the spirit of St Mary of the Cross MacKillop; we invite passionate engagement in lifelong and authentic learning, respect diversity and support every person in the pursuit of excellence.

MacKillop is an innovative learning community offering contemporary facilities, a vibrant curriculum and supportive wellbeing programs that are respectful and responsive to the individual needs of approximately 1,730 students from Years 7-12.

About the role
MacKillop College invites applications from qualified Field Officers with a passion for leading activities that cultivate curiosity and support the development of resilience, personal accountability and respect for the natural environment.
As a trusted outdoor educator, you will lead and support purposeful and engaging learning experiences, encompassing activities
like bushwalking, camping, canoeing and environmental projects to support the academic, social, and emotional growth of
students. Field Officers are supported by an Outdoor Education Coordinator in the design of programs and experiences that
complement the curriculum, ensuring that outdoor learning reinforces social skills, emotional intelligence and a sense of
community.

Outdoor Educators are entrusted with leading, organising and facilitating hands-on learning experiences that foster personal
growth and a deeper connection to the environment. Working and collaborating closely with Teachers, the Field Officers play a
vital role in mentoring students, encouraging them to embrace challenges, reflect on their learning, and celebrate their personal and collective achievements.

In this role, your expertise in outdoor education, safety, and first aid ensures that every adventure is exciting, every challenge is achievable, and every experience is empowering.

The successful applicant can commence in Term 4, 2025 or January 2026 as a permanent full-time employee.
