The Scots College is seeking motivated and passionate Outdoor Education Instructors to join our Glengarry team in the stunning Kangaroo Valley. We have one full-time and one part-time (3 days per week) position available.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead and co-lead camps, hikes, climbing, canoeing, and extended expeditions as part of a dynamic outdoor education program. You will play a key role in helping students develop leadership, resilience, independence, and life skills through purposeful challenge and adventure.
Key responsibilities include delivering high-quality outdoor programs, ensuring strong risk management and safety practices, mentoring students, and contributing to residential and boarding supervision. You will also collaborate with colleagues to enhance and develop program areas such as mountain biking, canoeing, climbing, or bushwalking.
Essential requirements:
- Certificate IV, Diploma, or Degree in Outdoor Recreation
- Competency in multiple outdoor activity areas
- Wilderness/Remote First Aid certification
- At least 2 years’ experience leading groups in outdoor education
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Valid Working With Children Check (or ability to obtain).
