At Melbourne Grammar School, our Outdoor Education program is an integral component of the holistic education we strive to provide every student. Throughout their education, our students are encouraged to actively participate in activities to build self-reliance, the courage to take risks and a sense of responsibility.
We are seeking an experienced Program Lead to work with our Senior School on the planning and coordination of Outdoor Education programs, whilst working collaboratively with the wider Outdoor Education team to deliver exceptional educational experiences for our Students.
The Outdoor Education Program Lead, in consultation with the Director of Outdoor Education and Campus Lead, will have responsibility for maintenance, programming, development, and risk management of these locations. This role will ensure these programs are planned and operated in line with School systems and processes to meet best practice standards.

MGS has three camp facilities at Woodend, Breakfast Creek and the Banksia Peninsula it utilizes to deliver its Outdoor Education Program in addition to programs conducted at remote locations in State and National Parks.

About you
- Cert IV or higher tertiary qualification relating to Outdoor Education
- Current Remote or Wilderness First Aid qualification
- Must hold, or be willing to obtain, either VIT registration or a current working with children clearance
- Demonstrated experience working in outdoor education with primary and/or secondary students
- Proven leadership and management of staff
- Demonstrated enthusiasm and capacity to work in a dynamic and collaborative team environment
