Staff Qualifications:

  • Professional credentials: Minimum Certificate IV in Outdoor Recreation or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in facilitation, wilderness first aid, bushwalking, canoeing, mountain biking, high ropes, abseiling
  • A strong passion for outdoor education and a dedication to positively influencing youth development.

Higher Ground is thrilled to offer a world-class experiential learning and personal development programme in 2024, with a legacy of changing lives. We’re inviting expressions of interest from skilled and passionate staff eager to contribute to this transformative experience.

About the Programme
The Rites Of Passage Programme (RoP), now in its remarkable 16th year, is a 28-day immersive experience near the Sunshine Coast. Aimed at Year 9 students from Hong Kong, this programme brings together over 200 students in three groups, engaging them in various outdoor activities across our three centres.

Your Role
As a vital member of our team, you will co-lead and mentor students through a range of outdoor activities and personal development exercises. This role is not just a job; it’s a chance to inspire and impact young lives, guiding them through experiences that foster growth and self-discovery.

Programme Schedule:

  • 8th July – 11th August 2024 (28 days), including 3 days pre-programme training and 6 rest days.

We are looking for both new and returning staff members who share our vision for the programme. Candidates will be selected based on experience, qualifications, and their ability to connect and work well with co-instructors.
