Parks Victoria is looking for a Ranger with a passion for conservation to deliver key projects in the far South West!

About the roleAs the Ranger, you will deliver activities associated with externally funded conservation projects, such as pest plant and animal management, environmental monitoring and evaluation. The projects will primarily be located in Discovery Bay Coastal Park and Budj Bim National Park. You will receive strong support and guidance, but will also require the ability to work autonomously and be self-driven, with the opportunity to take ownership of their projects.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • A tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in environmental science or natural resource management
  • Demonstrated experience in pest plant and pest animal management programs
  • An Agricultural Chemical Users Permit (ACUP) with 1080 endorsement is preferable
