Lead a team of rangers responsible for the management of parks and forests within Carnarvon North area.
The Department of the Environment, Tourism, Science and Innovation (DETSI) contributes to ensuring some of our most diverse natural environments are maintained for current and future generations. In this role, you’ll play a key role in driving the protection of our most wonderful places.
The Ideal Candidate
- Demonstrates a strong passion for conservation and land management.
- Actively participates in prescribed burning, fuel reduction, and bushfire management activities.
- Leads and manages a team to successfully deliver work plans, initiatives, and outcomes.
- Oversees the development of annual work programs for recreational and infrastructure maintenance and development, including resource acquisition & allocation within budget constraints.
- Builds & maintains productive relationships with stakeholders, including neighbouring landholders, other government departments, industry groups, recreational user groups, and Traditional Owners.
- Displays excellent organisational skills & the ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
- Demonstrates the ability to mentor, support and share skills with a diverse group of individuals.
