About the role

As a Parks and Wildlife Services (PWS) Ranger based on Tasmania’s central north coast, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing delegated reserves including Greens Beach and eastern Narawntapu National Park.
  • Working as part of a small team of 4, the role is vital to ensure year-round management of campgrounds and upkeep of visitor infrastructure within the national park.
  • Preparing environmental assessments and monitoring programs.
  • Providing information, advice and assistance to visitors and community members.
  • Undertaking fire operations including fuel management, wildfire suppression, and planning and implementation of burns.

Essential requirements

  • A Workplace Level 2 First Aid Certificate.

Desirable requirements

  • Certificate III in Conservation and Land Management or equivalent qualifications.
