Salary: $77,950 – $81,682 pa. (RNPGA, Grade 3) + District Allowance, Air Conditioning Allowance, 25% No Fixed Hours Loading, North West Leave and Ranger Leave, + 11.5% super
Tenure: Fixed-Term, Full-Time position (Until 29 April 2027 with the Possibility of Extension or Permanency)

This position is based at Denham in the Shark Bay World Heritage Area which is home to world-class natural attractions including Francois Peron National Park, Dirk Hartog Island National Park, the Shark Bay Marine Park and the proposed Edel Land National Park.
We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Ranger to join the Gascoyne District team.
Under the general direction of the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management and leadership of depots/work centres in the Shark Bay Parks areas in the Gascoyne District, including:
- Developing, organising, and implementing works programs, projects and activities across jointly managed parks in the Gascoyne District with a focus on Wulyibidi (Francois Peron) National Park, and Wirruwana (Dirk Hartog Island) National Park and facilitating Rangers, Operations Officers and Malgana Ranger Assistants in park management.
- Ensuring that all programs, projects, and activities are developed in consultation with the Districts Parks and Visitor Services, Conservation and Joint Management leadership teams.
- Supervising, work centre staff and contractors, organising and mentoring Rangers, Operations Officers and Aboriginal Ranger Assistants with a focus on the Shark Bay Parks tenures.
- Assumes a leadership role for compliance and enforcement issues in the area.
- Organises and implements works programs relating to conservation reserve management.
