Join our dedicated Ranger staff and make a meaningful impact by contributing to the long-term sustainability and conservation of the protected area estates’ natural and cultural values. As a Senior Ranger you will have the chance to work in an inspiring environment while actively participating in efforts to safeguard the beauty and heritage of the South East Queensland region and collaborating with a team of like-minded individuals to develop and implement sustainable conservation strategies.

The only mandatory requirement for the occupant of this position is to hold an unrestricted manual driver’s license, however the ideal candidate will have:

  • Team management, fire, pest, compliance and asset management skills and experience.
  • Sound understanding of the legislation, policies and procedures governing Queensland parks and forests.
  • Ability to undertake a varied work program, including administrative work as well as various types of physical duties.
  • Ability to foster a workplace culture that supports and promotes the interests of First Nations people, and actively engages through our work to contribute to better outcomes for First Nations people.
