The Statewide Education Officer connects communities with nature and promote understanding of Victoria’s natural and cultural heritage.

Parks Victoria manages more than 4 million hectares of land and marine environments, including some of the state’s most iconic natural and cultural places. About the role
- As the Statewide Education Officer, you’ll play a key role in creating meaningful learning experiences that connect people with Victoria’s natural and cultural heritage.
- You’ll design and coordinate high‑quality education programs, develop resources and training materials, and support delivery partners across the state. You’ll also contribute to program evaluation, continuous improvement, and the integration of cultural safety, environmental stewardship, and contemporary learning approaches.
- This is a role with genuine scope – you’ll influence statewide education strategy, strengthen partnerships, and help shape the next generation of environmental stewards.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Tertiary qualifications in education, environmental science, community engagement or related fields is highly desirable.
- Experience developing and delivering large‑scale education programs.
- Strong knowledge of environmental education and contemporary learning approaches.
- Project management and program evaluation skills.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Leadership capability and a collaborative, inclusive approach.
- A passion for connecting people with nature and supporting lifelong learning.
