Salary: $74,146 – $116,729 pa.
Full-time, Fixed-term position from 22 January 2025 to 12 December 2025 with the possibility of extension
Maroon Outdoor Education Centre is seeking an Outdoor Education Teacher to teach Personal and Social Capabilities for Years 5 – 12. The successful candidate will have outdoor recreation skills and accreditations such as canoeing, rock climbing and bushwalking. There will be regular night work involved, and this time worked will be compensated through time off in lieu (TOIL).
Applicants for this position must possess:
- Tertiary Qualifications in Outdoor Education are highly desirable along with VET competencies in some or all of the following: Canoeing, Rock Climbing, High Ropes, Bushwalking, Lightweight Camping.

- Current full registration or current provisional registration with eligibility for full registration, as a teacher in Queensland. Graduate teachers must have been granted provisional registration prior to commencing employment as a teacher. For more information regarding registration requirements, please click here.
- Working rights in Australia, which means you have, or you are eligible to obtain a valid Australian Visa with work rights (if you’re not already an Australian Citizen or resident).
