About the Role
The Team Leader, Central and KI will lead the delivery of a range of complex and high-level services and policy advice that support the effective management of Crown Lands in the state’s central region which comprises metropolitan Adelaide, Adelaide and Mount Lofty Ranges, Kangaroo Island, Mid-North and Yorke Peninsula. The Team Leader, Central and KI is responsible for the management, guidance and development of a small team.
A key element of this role requires the incumbent to also directly support the Manager, Crown Lands by coordinating and overseeing delivery of operational functions related to the Crown Lands Program goals and objectives at a state-wide level. They will build and maintain effective relationships with local government agencies and other SA Government agencies to deliver effective Crown land management outcomes. The role is a member of the Crown Lands management team and will actively contribute to setting the Crown Lands Program’s strategic direction and implementing projects to deliver the Crown Lands Program’s objectives.

Special Conditions:
- May be required to participate in fire management or associated duties.
- You must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or provide evidence that you hold a valid working visa that allows you to work in Australia.
- A current class “C” driver’s licence and willingness and ability to safely operate a 4wd is essential.
- Inter and intrastate and remote area travel is required, including travel in light aircraft.
- May be required to undertake intra or interstate travel, occasional overnight absences and work outside of the normal hours of work.
- Prior to being employed, the successful applicant will be required to obtain a National Police Check.
