Set in a unique natural environment, Maroon Outdoor Education Centre provides immersive learning experiences in 3-5 day residential outdoor education programs that connect students to themselves, others and the world around them. About the Role
This role is ideal for teachers who thrive outside the traditional classroom and are motivated by authentic, hands‑on learning experiences. Teachers provide facilitated learning through high challenge, camping, expedition, canoeing and group problem solving activities.
As a teacher at Maroon Outdoor Education Centre, you will:
- Design and deliver engaging outdoor learning programs aligned to curriculum and student needs
- Work collaboratively with a skilled team of educators
- Support student wellbeing, growth and achievement through experiential learning
- Contribute to a positive, professional and reflective learning culture.
Maroon OEC teachers work extended hours, including regular night and overnight programs. Maroon OEC has an agreed time-off in lieu agreement for teachers.
About You
We are seeking teachers who hold or are eligible for Queensland teacher registration.
Experience in outdoor education is highly regarded, but not essential — we value curiosity, willingness to learn and alignment with our purpose.
