Beyond Limits Outdoor Education (Beyond Limits) is a growing ministry of the Uniting Church in Australia and provides activity programs for groups who stay at Adare, Nunyara and Tarooki campsites as well as other sites across South Australia.
An opportunity exists for a permanent, full-time Program Coordinator to coordinate programs and expeditions conducted at Adare Camp and Caravan Park, located in Victor Harbor, and the surrounding region.
Reporting to the Program Manager; the Program Coordinator’s tasks include:
- demonstrate, by example, the provision of exceptional Christian hospitality
- assist in the design and cost of programs and expeditions to meet intended / agreed outcomes
- liaise with camp coordinators and key venue staff regarding logistical requirements
- ensure that activity and expedition equipment is used, stored and maintained in accordance with policy and WHS guidelines.
The successful applicant will be required to have experience in coordinating outdoor leadership / recreation programs and / or any formal tertiary or other qualifications in outdoor leadership / recreation. In addition, the successful applicant will have:
- the ability to work unsupervised and to also work in a team environment
- the ability and willingness to be flexible and solution focused
- a passion for developing the potential of young people.
Experience within the outdoor leadership / recreation and / or camp industry is expected. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills are a must in this role, as is your demonstrated commitment to a mainstream Christian denomination.
