The Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions is committed to promoting biodiversity and conservation to enrich people’s lives, through sustainable management of Western Australia’s species, ecosystems, lands and the attractions in the department’s care.

Under the general direction of the Operations Manager, this position is:

  • Responsible for the overall management and leadership of depots/work centres in the Mount Augustus and Burringurrah National Parks in the Gascoyne District, including:
    • The development, organisation and implementation of works programs, projects and activities in Mount Augustus and Burringurrah National Parks in the Gascoyne District and facilitate the involvement of Wajarri Aboriginal Rangers in park management.
    • Supervising depot/work centre staff and contractors and organises and mentors Aboriginal Rangers, Trainee Rangers and Rangers Assistants with a focus on Mount Augustus and Burringurrah National Parks.
    • Assuming a leadership role for compliance and enforcement issues in the area.
    • Organising and implementing works programs, projects and day to day operations relating to conservation and conservation reserve management.

The successful applicant will be required to possess or obtain a current and satisfactory National Police Check and a current Working With Children Check prior to commencement.
